Bag dust collectors are designed to effectively filter dust-containing gas by using either textile filter cloth or non-textile felt to create filter bags, which utilize the filtering effect of fibre fabrics. When dust-containing gas is drawn into the bag dust collector, it undergoes a process where large particles and heavy dust are separated by gravity, falling into the ash hopper. On the other hand, finer dust particles are captured as the gas passes through the filter material, allowing for more effective treatment of the dust.

Once the dust-containing gas enters the ash hopper, it is guided by a plate towards the lower air intake pipe of the dust collector. The collision of the guide plate and the reduction of gas velocity ensures that coarse dust falls into the ash hopper, allowing for fine dust particles to enter the filter bag chamber with the gas. As the dust passes through the filter material, it is retained by the inertia, diffusion, barrier, hooking, static electricity, and other effects of the fibre and fabric, resulting in purified gas escaping through the exhaust pipe. The dust that accumulates on the filter bag is removed by gas backwashing, while cleaned dust goes down to the ash hopper and is discharged through the double-layer ash unloading valve. Additionally, dust accumulation on the filter bag can be removed by spraying pulse airflow, and the cleaned dust can be discharged by the dust discharge device.
